Capacitors
There are several types of capacitors, which also come in different
values. The values are easy to determine as they are written in text
on the side of the capacitor.
Capacitors do however have different constructions and the
electrolytic type which are cylindrical are polarised. This means
that one side of the capacitor should be more negative than the
other side. This is indicated by a band of - signs running down the
side which must be kept most negative. The PCB which they go into
normally has a + or - next to one hole to allow the part to be
placed correctly.
