The Wii controller uses movement technology, when you make a  movement with the wii controller, the console will mimic your movement on-screen.
The Wii uses a sensor bar, to create accurate movements on-screen, this is used in most Wii compatible games, such as Red Steel, Wii sports and Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
